Anna Anthofer, 91 of Dedham, died early Friday, July 27, 2012, at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids.

Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dedham.

Celebrant will be Father Andrew Hoffmann assisted by Deacon Louis Meiners.

Lector will be Brett Wolfe. Gift bearers will be Nicole Wolfe, Denise Richards and Randy Anthofer.

Music will be by organist Marcy Anderson, soloist Lindsay Drake and the St. Joseph Choir.

Communion ministers will be Angie Schreck and Linda Sporrer. Casket bearers will be Mike Beyerink, Robby Anthofer, Josh Anthofer, Todd Schreck, Chad Sigler, Dan Drake, Chris Willenborg and Travis Drake. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Dedham.

Friends may call at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 p.m. Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. Monday followed by a Christian wake service at 7 P.M. Monday by St. Joseph

Anna was born Nov. 2, 1920, at Coon Rapids, a daughter of John and Tracy (Loeffler) Spoo.

She spent her younger years in the Coon Rapids community and attended Evergreen Country School.

Anna and Frank X. Anthofer were married May 2, 1944, at St. Joseph Church in Dedham.

The couple farmed in the Dedham area, and two years following Frank’s death Anna moved to her home in Dedham. Anna was a devoted wife and beloved mother caring for her children and helping with the daily chores of the farm. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Parish Ladies Guild. Anna dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, gardening, and baking.

Survivors include her children, Dorothy (Ron) Beyerink of Coon Rapids, Larry (Trudy) Anthofer of Vermillion, S.D., Judy (R.T.) Schreck of Carroll, Linda (Keith) Halbur of Omaha,

Neb., Donna Drake of Bayard, Sue Willenborg of Carroll, and Chris (Jim) Drake of Dedham; a daughter-in-law, Jan Anthofer of Des Moines; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Anthofer, in December 1989; a son, Joseph Anthofer; son-in-law, Dave Drake; a great grandson, Eugene Frank Hoffman; five brothers, two sisters, and a special brother-in-law, Louis Anthofer.
