Angela Brockmeyer, 41, of Shenandoah, Iowa, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at her home surrounded by family and friends following an 11-year battle with cancer.

Mass of the Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning, with Father Robert Gralapp and Father Steve Boes presiding. Mass servers will be Sam and Ben Wegner. Lectors will be Jill Juhl and Hannah Warner. Eucharistic ministers will be Don and Bev Nepple and Ray and Marian Irlbeck. Gift bearers will be Fred and Karen Irlbeck and Diane Brockmeyer. Music will be "They Know We Are Christian by Our Love," "On Eagle's Wings" and "Hosea" by the Sacred Heart choir and organist Pat Heithoff.

Casket bearers will be Scot Irlbeck, Jeff Irlbeck, Chad Irlbeck, Jeremy Irlbeck, Joe Irlbeck and Zeb Burkhiser. Honorary casket bearers will be office gals from Brown's Shoe Fit Company.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manning.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Hausbarn Konferenz Centre in Manning with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to to Shoes From an Angel (c/o Brown Shoe Fit Company) and/or Manning Fire and Rescue.

Arrangements are by Johnson and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Manning and Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Angela Lea Brockmeyer, daughter of LeRoy and Elaine (Nepple) Irlbeck, was born Aug. 17, 1972, in Carroll, Iowa.

Angela attended Manning Community Schools and graduated in 1990. She then attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, where she met her future husband Mark. They were married Aug. 14, 1993, and she graduated from Buena Vista College in 1995.

Angela and Mark moved in 1997 to Shenandoah where Mark became chief engineer at KMA Radio and Angela was in accounts payable for Brown Shoe Fit Company. Angela enjoyed family especially nieces Haylie and Morgyn. She also enjoyed photography.

Angela is survived by her husband Mark Brockmeyer and her cat "Baby" of Shenandoah, Iowa; parents LeRoy and Elaine Irlbeck, brother Alan Irlbeck and wife Ericka and their children Haylie and Morgyn, all of Manning, Iowa; father- and mother-in-law the Rev. Myron and Delpha Brockmeyer of Indianola, Iowa; sister-in-law Diane Brockmeyer of Waukee, Iowa; nieces Melissa Heck and family of West Des Moines and Michelle Cubit and husband Jon of Johnston, Iowal and her special family at Brown Shoe Fit Company.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Alphonse and Margaret Irlbeck, Ed and Sophia Nepple, Milton and Amber Brockmeyer and Glenn and Ferne Holthaus.
