Bert Morenz, 75, of Auburn, entered into eternal life Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburn. Celebrant will be Father Timothy Johnson, and burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Auburn.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the church. There will be a rosary at 3 p.m. and vigil service at 6 p.m.
Lampe Funeral Home, Lake City, is handling the arrangements.

Delbert Charles Morenz was born March 7, 1938, in Auburn, Iowa, to Albert and Elma (Baumgartel) Morenz. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1957. On Sept. 13, 1958, he married Patricia Heithoff at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Roselle, Iowa. Bert and Pat owned and operated the Auburn Enterprise Newspaper and Tri County Special Advertiser for 35 years.
Delbert is survived by his wife Pat Morenz of Auburn; children Jeff (JoAnne) Morenz of Atlantic, Kim Morenz (BowenWhite) of Overland Park, Kan., Todd (Lori) Morenz of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Jodi Morenz of Carroll; 11 grandchildren; two 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Dwight (Frannie) Morenz, Jim Morenz, Gene (Cheryl) Morenz and Joel (Carole) Morenz; sisters Judy (Bill) Vote, Gert Drost, Donna (Wayne) Smidt, and Dianne (Bruce) Seymour; brothers-in-law Glenn (Dottie) Heithoff, Gene (Diane) Heithoff and Jerry Heithoff; and sisters-in-law Carlene (Keith) Dorpinghaus and Joyce (Phil) Simons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elma Morenz; and mother- and father-in-law Leo and Helen Heithoff.
