Born Oct. 18, 1963, at Carroll, he was a son of Lavern and Dolores (Wieland) Pudenz. Dave grew up on a farm near Carroll and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1982.
Following high school he moved back to Carroll and worked as a salesman for Mauer Supply Company. After leaving there, he went on to owning and operating Western Iowa Pressure Washers, in Glidden.
On New Year's Eve 2008, Dave married Cindy (Parker). The couple made their home in Glidden. Dave's passions in life where traveling to beautiful places, cooking amazing meals from scratch for everyone, and taking off on his Harley to feel the wind in his hair. He loved spending time with his family, but what truly melted his heart were his kisses from his granddaughter, Kaydence.
He also really enjoyed riding with his brothers and sisters of ABATE (A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education) and collecting every year for Toys for Tots. He loved collecting toys; it was a joy for him to see smiles on the kids' faces when they got their special gift.
He had been a member of the club for many years.
Dave is survived by his wife Cindy of Glidden; a son Jager Pudenz of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a son Christopher Boggs and his fiancé Jessie Foley of Carroll; a daughter Ashley Boggs of Denver, Colo.; his mother Dolores Pudenz of Carroll; a granddaughter Kaydence; three brothers: Mark Pudenz and his wife Patty of Odessa, Mo., Rick Pudenz and his wife Helen of Glidden, and Gary Pudenz of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters: Jean Walker and her Husband Keith of Paton, Mary Jo Rice and her husband Bill of Fort Wayne, Ind., and June Carstensen and her husband Paul of Ankeny; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dave was preceded in death by his father and sister June Marie in infancy.
