Born Jan. 6, 1952, at Green Bay, Wis., she was a daughter of Robert and Vera (Bennett) Dingman. Elaine was affectionately known to most as "Pete." She grew up in the Scranton area and graduated from Scranton Consolidated Schools in 1970. Following high school she attended Webster City Junior College and then worked for Stevenson Insurance in Webster City. She then moved to Creston and worked for Zarffis Insurance Company. Elaine moved to Glidden in 1984 and lived with her sister Wanda. While living in Glidden she did house cleaning and worked for Regis Inventory. She most recently was employed by American Home Shield in Carroll where she had worked the past 22 years.

She was a member of the Glidden United Methodist Church where she served on the board of trustees. "Pete" enjoyed cooking, her kitty Tiggie, playing games, vacationing, having fires in her fire pit, Mustang cars, and getting together with her family. She also loved to read and find unique gifts for family and friends on her many shopping adventures.

Elaine is survived by three sisters: Marilyn Dingman of Glidden, Sharon Hall and her husband Roger of Davenport, Iowa, and Debbie Wright and her husband Lance of Glidden; twin brothers: Lyle Dingman and his wife Joan of Towanda, Kan., and Larry Dingman of Davenport, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Cecil Wayne Dingman in infancy, Richard Dingman and Don Dingman; and a sister Wanda Stephenson.
