Jane Bruggeman, 69, of Boone and formerly of Vail and Arcadia, died Sept. 15, 2012, at Boone County Hospital in Boone.  

Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall in Boone.  Following the service, burial of her cremains will be at Arcadia Cemetery, northeast of Arcadia.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time.  The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday after 11:30 a.m.

In memory of Jane, memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Jane was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on May 25, 1943, a daughter of Harry and Josephine (Phillips) Siebert. She attended Ar-We-Va High School in Westside. On June 21, 1975, Jane married Donald Bruggeman in Boone.  For the past 12 years, she was employed at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone and worked in the dietary department, retiring in February of this year.  

While living in Arcadia, Jane was a member of the Lutheran Church.  Jane was an avid Iowa State fan. She loved her family and she loved working.

Jane is survived by a daughter Julie (Leo) Rickertt of Boone; two sons Jamie Bruggeman of West Des Moines and Jeffrey Bruggeman of Boone; a brother Larry (Patty) Siebert of Westside, a sister LeAnn (Bob) Olson of Boone; four grandchildren: Bryce Bruggeman of Gilbert, William Bruggeman of Belmond, Stacey Vote and Jeremy Bogue, both of Boone; two great grandchildren Brenna Vote of Boone and Evan Hanson of Minden.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son Terry Kracht.
