Jane L. Dial, 63, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Lake City Union Church in Lake City with the Rev. Sue Thomas officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. A private family burial will be held.

Jane Louise (Loeck) Dial was born Jan. 8, 1950, at McCrary Rost Hospital in Lake City to Willis and Laurella "Dottie" (Smith) Loeck. She graduated from Westview High School in Lake City in 1968 and then from Iowa State University in 1972 with honors. On Aug. 28, 1971, Jane married Dwight Dial at United Methodist Church in Lake City. She worked as dietary supervisor at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City for 26 years and was a member of Lake City Union Church and the Shakespeare Club in Lake City. Jane also served as a board member to the Sunny View Retirement Center in Rockwell City.
Jane loved sewing, baking bread, reading and most of all watching her family grow. Her two sons and their families were her most cherished accomplishments.
Jane is survived by her husband, Dwight, of Lake City; sons Maj. Ethan Dial of Fort Knox, Ky., and Maj. Andrew Dial of Fort Drum, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; brothers Charles Loeck of Fernandina Beach, Fla.,, John Loeck of Trumbull, Conn., and Tom Loeck of Carroll, Iowa; and sister, Deborah Sporleder of Lake City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Gerald Dial, brothers-in-law Jerome Dial and Capt. Lynn Dial, and sisters-in-law Sue Loeck and Mary Loeck.
