Jeffrey Dutler, 53, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at his home in Ankeny, Iowa, after battling kidney cancer.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at Ankeny Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jeffrey Alan Dutler was born March 23, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was the son of Richard "Tom" Malone and Janis LaMaack. He grew up and received his education in Carroll, Iowa. Jeff most recently worked as manager of KFC in Ankeny. On March 16, 1996, Jeff married Margaret Hall in Ankeny.
Jeff was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball teams. He also had a passion for golf and loved to play at various courses in the area. On June 7, 2011 he recorded a golfer's dream with a hole-in-one on the 12th at Woodland Hills.
Survivors include his wife, Margie; sons, Chad Dutler, Corey Dutler, Joseph Van Roekel and Nicholas Van Roekel; grandsons, Brandon Dutler, Hayden Dutler and Chase Dutler; father, Richard Tom Malone; sister, Julie Dutler; and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis.
