Memorial Mass for Mary Belle Curry Cornell will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at St. Timothy Reno Catholic Church, south of Cumberland, Iowa.
Burial will be at St. Timothy Reno Catholic Cemetery.

Mary Belle Curry Cornell, 88, died Saturday, April 21, 2012.
She was born Jan. 11, 1924, to Joseph and Violet Curry in Massena, Iowa. She graduated from Massena High School in 1942. She then attended St. Joseph nursing school in Omaha. Upon graduating as a registered nurse, she joined the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Mary Belle dedicated 20 years of service with the Air Force and retired in 1970.
She spent most of her last remaining years in Redding, Calif., before relocating to Lincoln, Neb. From there Mary Belle moved to a hospice house in Omaha.
Mary Belle is survived by an extended family including cousins: Barbara Meyer of Nebraska City, Neb., K. Marie Thayer of Ankeny, Iowa, Jane and Robert Gallagher of Omaha, Colleen and Bob Wilber of Macedonia, Iowa, John and Coni Curry of Massena, Iowa, Sheila Williamson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Bill Howard of Clear Lake, Iowa.
Mary Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Z.C. Cornell; mother and father, Joseph and Violet (Tracey) Curry; brother, Gerald Curry; cousin, Don Curry of Massena, Iowa; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
