Mick Addison, 82, of Lanesboro, died at home Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013.

Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Lanesboro United Methodist Church. The Rev. Sue Thomas officiated. Burial was at Lanesboro Cemetery with full military rites by Lake City American Legion Post 31 and VFW Post 1899.

Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City was in charge of arrangements.

Mick was born Oct. 21, 1930, at Manning, Iowa, to Fern and Meta (Christensen) Addison. He graduated from Manning High School in 1948. Mick served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952. On Dec. 21, 1951, he married Patricia Best at Glidden, Iowa. Mick was self-employed as a piano technician. Mick enjoyed music, fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding.

Mick is survived by his wife, Pat; sons; Bruce Addison and friend Cathie of Lanesboro, Brian and Rhonda Addison of Lanesboro and Brad and Kelly Addison of Lanesboro; seven granddaughters; one grandson; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Larry (Kathy) Addison of Monroe, Mo., and Clark Addison and friend Ann Marie of Colorado; and sister Wanda (Don) Mathisen of Crescent, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fern and Meta; and three brothers, Bill, Gene and Bobby.
