Mike Nolte, 85, of Auburn, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in Carroll.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn with the Rev. Craig Zandi officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, and burial will be at a later date.
Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City is in charge of arrangements.

Maurice D. "Mike" Nolte was born Oct. 12, 1927, in Farnhamville, Iowa, to Reuben and Lueticia (Smith) Nolte. He graduated from Farnhamville High School then attended college for two years at Fort Dodge and Wayne (Neb.) State. Mike worked as a building trades teacher at Wymore, Neb., until his retirement.
On Feb. 10, 1961 Mike married Patricia Miller, Patricia died June 24, 1979. On Nov. 24, 1988, Mike married to Lillian Asmus Darnell in Wymore.
Mike is survived by his wife, Lillian, of Auburn; children Cindy and David Tiefenthaler of Auburn, Marty and Faith Nolte of Pocatello, Idaho, John and Wanda Gibson of Waukee, Iowa, and Jay and Jodi Nolte of Wauwatosa, Wis.; grandchildren Kelly, Shannon, Katie, April, Ashley, Makenna, Megan, Dylan and Derik; great-grandchildren Miranda, Bryce, Mady, Tyler, Tyson, Madox, Drake and Dylan; and sister Madge Vaudt of Laurens, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia; great-granddaughter Addison Knobbe; brother Myron Nolte; and sisters Maxine Haynes, Marj Vote and Mona Johnson.
