Robert "Bob" Miller, 50, of Lake View, died Wednesday, March 20, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View with the Rev. Donald E. Peterson III officiating.
Farber & Otteman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Robert Herman Miller was born May 12, 1962, to Gilbert and Sandra (Vauble) Miller in Sac City. He grew up in Lake View where he attended the Lake View-Auburn Schools. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Bob met Mary Hungate and welcomed her family as his own. They celebrated 25 years together. Mary died Dec. 20, 2009.
Bob worked for Small Engine City and ASI Services. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards, working on cars, lawn mowers and snowblowers. He loved to hang out with his relatives and friends. His nephew Brian Miller of Westside was very special to him.
Survivors include his sons: Chad Hungate of Grandview, Mo., and J.D. Hungate of Olathe, Kan.; daughter Sandy (Jeff) DeSart of Lanesboro; sisters: Donna (Chuck) Schmidtke of Lake View, Tina (Dan) Thelen of Carroll and Pauline Miller of Storm Lake; grandchildren: Chris Larson, Josh DeSart, Spencer Hungate, Cydni Hungate and Cheyenne Hungate; sister-in-law Sharon Walton of Lake View; many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Sandy Miller; wife Mary Hungate; brother Richard "Pugs" Miller; grandparents: Ray and Catherine Vauble and Herman and Tina Miller; niece Holly Marie Miller; great-nephews: Zachary Micheal Rodriguez and Jacob Alan Miller; and several aunts and uncles.
