Charito Kuylen, 61, formerly of Hammond, La., died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, after a brief fight with cancer.
Funeral arrangements are with Earthman Funeral Home, 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, Texas. Private family visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Friends may call from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Rosary and prayer service will be at 7 p.m. by Deacon Rey Arellano. Celebration of life and Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, by the Rev. Andrew Wood at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater, Sugar Land, Texas. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
Charito, who was born May 27, 1952, worked for many years as a chemical engineer at Wechem Chemicals. She enjoyed traveling extensivey over the world - Europe, Asia and the Americas. She loved singing and dancing.
She is survived by two sons, Ryan and Robin of Hammond, La.; six siblings and their spouses, Gloria Quinagon (Jose), Celna Conforti (Alexander), Linaflor Parado, Shirley Molitor (Dennis) Cherry Medrano (Robert) and Jon Parado; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Froilan and Felicisima Parado; a sister, Millie; and an infant brother, Carlito.
