Timothy Simmons, 43, of Carroll, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Father Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit choir. Gift bearers will be Lisa Simmons, Missy Sales and Triston Nelson. Casket bearers will be Scott Lampman, Richard Schenkelberg, Ben Tigges, Zach Schramm, Jim Lally and Richard Corson. The employees of Schenkelberg Implement will form an honor guard for the Mass. Burial will be at Carroll City Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, where there will be a Christian wake service at 7 p.m.
The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9 a.m. Wednesday when visitation will resume.

Born March 8, 1971, at Bayard, Iowa, Timothy was a son of Jerry and Virginia (Blackford) Simmons. He attended school and spent his younger years in the Bayard community. Tim was employed at Haley Equipment and later went to work at Schenkelberg Implement in Carroll where he was employed in the parts department.
On March 27, 2013, he married Lisa Quinn at Carroll, Iowa. Tim enjoyed hanging out at home, watching television, spending time with his family and friends, and his cats and dogs. In his spare time he liked working on tractors, cars and anything mechanical. Tim was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Survivors include his wife Lisa Simmons of Carroll; his children: Nathan, Brenna and Gracie Simmons, all of Carroll; his stepchildren: Nathan and Brianna Barton of Colorado, and Bethany and Brandon Quinn of California; his parents-in-law: Floyd and Joann Laxson; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David (Michelle) Hedke and their children, David Jr., Melina and Bella, all of Carroll, Missy Sales and fiancé Triston Nelson of Carroll, Dana Curtis of Indiana, and Brittany Bushong of Florida; as well as other extended relatives and many friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his mother-in-law: Deborah Hogge; and a brother in infancy; as well as his step-grandmother Teresa Cornelius.
