Alice Walker, 81, of Rockwell City, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Donald Howard officiating and burial at the Lake City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.

Alice Mae (Jones) Walker was born May 28, 1933 at Lytton, Iowa, to Frank and Rosa (Strain) Jones. She graduated from Lytton High School, and on June 20, 1954 she married Harold Walker at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton. Through the years Alice worked as a telephone operator in Lytton, a nurse’s aide in Fort Dodge, at Globe Union in Fort Dodge, and at Ken’s Café and the Lunch Box both in Rockwell City. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting and tending to her flower garden. Alice was a member of the Evangelical Church in Rockwell City. She loved her children and grandchildren and was a dedicated friend to many.
Alice is survived by her children Debra Bartlett of Carroll, Iowa, and William Walker of Dover, Delaware; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, and sisters Lois Conrad and Iris Hanson.
