The Graphic Edge, based in Carroll, has purchased Keith’s II, a printing and embroidery company located in Rutland, Vt. Graphic Edge president John Reglein said the company is a virtual mirror of what the Carroll business does.
The Graphic Edge, a screen-printing and embroidery company based in Carroll, has purchased Keith's II Sports of Rutland, Vt. The acquisition - effective last Saturday - will bring together two leaders in the screen-printing industry.
The Graphic Edge will continue to operate Keith's II at its current location in Rutland.
"The Graphic Edge is a family business that produces high-quality, fairly priced, screen-printed and embroidered merchandise," said owner John Reglein. "We are committed to community, and that is one of the many things that interested us in Keith's II. Dan and Judy Keith have built a business with similar values to ours."
Reglein said the purchase is a perfect fit for Graphic Edge.
"I have known and admired John Reglein, the owner of the Graphic Edge, for years," said Dan Keith, president of Keith's II. "The Graphic Edge is known for producing high-quality merchandise and being on the cutting edge of technical developments in the field. They also have an established online presence that will allow the business in Rutland to maintain a competitive edge. Judy and I have enjoyed growing this business, but to remain competitive, it made sense to join Keith's II with a company like The Graphic Edge, with their vast resources and Internet expertise."
The Graphic Edge currently has sales representatives who cover eight states in the Midwest plus Colorado and Nevada. This move will add representatives in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maine.
"Keith's II is a very sound company with great employees," said Pat Venteicher, general manager of The Graphic Edge. "With the help of our software, technology and some of our expertise, this company has a lot of potential here in the New England area."
Established in 1989, The Graphic Edge has grown from a company that began with one full-time and two part-time employees in a small shop, to a company that employs over 250.
The Graphic Edge is an established market leader in the custom-screen-printing and embroidery industry, providing millions of customized garments to thousands of teams, schools, organizations, businesses and individuals.
