Glidden

A man and woman were found dead in a trailer house on the south side of Glidden late Sunday, the Division of Criminal Investigation said in a press release this morning.

Yellow crime-scene tape surrounded the trailer house at 129 Carroll Street this morning, and investigators declined to reveal any details about the incident.

Nearby residents also declined to talk and said they were asked by investigators not to reveal what they might have seen that night.

Someone reported about 9:50 p.m. Sunday that someone was unconscious at the home of Tami DeVore, 48.

DeVore was the subject of a series of articles published in November by the Daily Times Herald, which explored the reasons why she hoarded animals in the home. Sheriff's deputies found more than 50 cats there when they searched the house for drugs earlier that year.

They found marijuana in the house, but DeVore was not charged with drug possession.

Autopsies of the bodies found Sunday are scheduled for Tuesday at the office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny.

It's unclear whether DeVore's body was among those found in the home.
