IKM-Manning and Ar-We-Va's boys were able to sneak in a meet on Thursday in Ida Grove.

The Wolves finished the meet in fourth place with 55 total points. Ar-We-Va took home a 12th place finish with 15 points. Humboldt was named the overall champion with 97 points. 

Jared Johnson came away with the only area win on Thursday night as he won the high jump event clearing 6-feet. 

Thursday's high jump event featured a clean sweep by the two area schools. In second place was Ar-We-Va's Keegan Simons, who also cleared 6-feet, but Johnson won based off attempts at previous heights. In third place was IKM-Manning's Alex Lingle who also cleared 6-feet. 

Lingle would also finish second in the 400 meter run event with a time of 54.36. Teammate Nathan Blankman took home fifth in the same event. 

Carter Irlmeier added a third place finish for the Wolves as he earned the bronze in the 110 hurdles. The IKM-Manning 4x200 team of Stephen Grimm, Johnson, Keaton Allmon and Marshall Hansen took third place as well. 

The distance medley team from IKM-Manning, consisting of Grimm, Allmon, Adam Gruhn and Parker Behrens finished fourth. Also placing fourth were the IKM-Manning shuttle hurdle relay team of Colten Brandt, Dillon Hanson, Johsnon and Irlmeier. 

Another fourth place finish came from the 4x400 team of IKM-Manning, which had Johnson, Blankman, Gruhn and Lingle running. 

Ar-We-Va jumper, Drew Schurke finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet-5.5-inches. 

In the sprint medley relay race, the Ar-We-Va team of Schurke, Simmons, Derek Oeser and Dalton Ehlers finished sixth. Oeser also took home a fifth place finish in the 400 hurdles. 

Marshall Hansen brought home a fifth place finish in the 200 meter dash for IKM-Manning. Later, Quentin Dreyer placed fifth in the 3,200 meter race. Teammate Grant Stracke was sixth in the discus throw.
