During one of the best nights of the season so far, times continued to speed up for both South Central Calhoun and the East Sac girls track teams.

At Monday night’s Raptor Co-Ed meet held in Holstein, the South Central Calhoun girls’ earned 65 points, and a tie for sixth. Meanwhile the East Sac County girls' team placed eighth with 45 points. Alta-Aurelia won the meet with 179 points.

The South Central Calhoun girls came away with one event victory on Monday night.

The 4x200 relay team of Jessica Hicks, Kaylynn Ridgely, Drew Pochinski and Maddie Jones won the race with a time of 1:58.04.

East sac County came away with a win of their own. Freshman jumper Bailey Wollesen cleared 5-feet-2-inches to win the high jump event. Teammate Caitlin Schueneman finished second after clearing 5-feet even.

South Central Calhoun showed that they were able to compete in the field events as well. Senior Kim Daisy finished second in the shot put with a best throw of 34-feet-4-inches.

Other top finishers from South Central Calhoun included a third place finish by the sprint medley relay team. Running on that team was Hicks, Pochinski, Jones and Haleuy Stauter. They finished with a time of 2:04.45.

In the 100 meter hurdles, the Titan runner of Arianna Kistler finished third with a time of 17.89.

In the 4x100 shuttle hurdle relay race the team of Hicks, Kortney Riley, Raegan Welander and Kistler finished third with a time of 1:19.2.

Running in the 4x800 event was the team of Ashley Hanks, Lauren Ukena, Meghan Dietrich and Brielle Korleski. They finished fourth.

In the 4x100 race the SCC team of Jones, Stauter, Pochinski and Hicks finished fifth.

In the 3,000 meter race Caitlin Stokes finished fifth, and teammate Alayna Murley finished seventh.

The distance medley relay team of the Titans saw Erin Shinn, Riley, Hanks and Korleski place sixth.

East Sac’s Wollesen wasn’t too tired from her high jump. Later she finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.4. Teammate Karli Flynn finished 12th.

The East Sac 4x400 team of Maggie Veit, Francesca Barbieri, Wollesen and Hannah Schmitt finished fourth with a time of 4:42.8.

In the 4x800 relay, the team of Morgan Sholty, Veit, Schmitt and Taylor Houska turned in a time of 12:00.91, which was the fifth fastest on Monday. Schmitt later had the fifth fastest 100 meter hurdles time clocked at 18.39.

Wollesen finished sixth in the 800 meter run.

The East Sac distance medley team of Veit, Schmitt, Barbieri and Morgan Sholty finished seventh.
