Dentlinger named Summit League Player of the week

South Dakota State sophomore, and the all-time leading male scorer for the Kuemper Catholic basketball team, Matt Dentlinger (pictured on the left, No. 32) was named the Summit League player of the week this week for his basketball play. Dentlinger averaged 20 points per game and 10 rebounds per game as the Jackrabbits beat both Denver and Purdue Fort Wayne, according to a news release from the Summit League. As of Monday, Dentlinger led the Summit League and ranked No. 11 nationally among all NCAA Division 1 basketball players with a field goal percentage of 62.8 percent, according to the release. This is the first time in Dentlinger’s career that he was honored by the Summit League for his play.
