No injuries in Arcadia highway crash

An 82-year-old Lake View woman's view was obscured when she attempted to turn onto U.S. Highway 30 near Arcadia and struck a passing semitrailer truck, according to a Carroll County Sheriff's report. Karen Lee Wetzstein was southbound on Crystal Avenue in a pickup truck when she attempted to turn east onto the highway but struck the rear trailer wheels of an eastbound truck driven by William L. Robeson, 47, of Monroe, North Carolina. Another semitrailer truck next to Wetzstein had blocked her view of Robeson's truck. No one was injured. The damage to Wetzstein's 2012 Chevrolet Colorado was estimated at $10,000. Damage to Robeson's truck was estimated at $2,500.
