Carroll High School entries prepared for Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group District Contest, hosting an open house Monday. Jan. 16. District Contest will be Saturday, Jan. 21, at Manson Northwest High School at Manson. Performances that receive a I (superior) rating at District will advance to Northwest State Contest on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Le Mars High School. The open house featured performances in readers’ theater, ensemble acting, improvisational acting, musical theater and one-act play. Performing in the one-act playe, "No Show," are (front) Maia Boell; (back, from left) Karsen Schoenfeld, Kiley Riesberg, Chloe Reiling (obscured), Adrienne Wiley, Parker Adams, Karlie Muhlbauer and Matthew Swift.
