Audubon man dies in morning accident near Manning

An Audubon man is dead following a fatal vehicle accident this morning on Highway 141 near Manning.

At approximately 6:44 a.m., Michael Snyder, 34, of Audubon, was traveling northbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado on Eagle Avenue and then failed to stop at a posted stop sign, according to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol. 

Craig Gruhn, 53, of Manning, was traveling eastbound in a semi-truck on Highway 141 and was struck by Snyder, according to the report.

Snyder has been pronounced dead. According to the crash report, no injuries have been reported for Gruhn.

The crash report states the case remains under investigation.
