A 26-year-old Carroll man is the second person arrested for a bank robbery last week in Scranton.

Tyler Mattingly faces felony robbery and theft charges for the Feb. 25 robbery of Peoples Bank. The robbery charge is punishable by up to 25 years in prison if he is convicted.

On Saturday, law enforcement officers arrested Zachary Wailes, 26, of Fort Dodge, for the crime. Wailes is accused of going into Peoples Bank, 1021 Main St., about 10:40 a.m. with what appeared to be a handgun and taking more than $10,000 from tellers there.

Mattingly was arrested today. His alleged role in the robbery wasn't immediately available, but a press release from the Greene County Sheriff said he was arrested for "aiding and abetting."

Under Iowa law, those who help execute a crime can face the same criminal charges as the person who committed it.
