Carroll Police call log Aug. 6, 2020

1:09 a.m. — Animal complaint in the 1700 block of U.S. Highway 71 North. 

4:12 a.m. — Welfare check at Grant and Pleasant Ridge Road. 

8:10 a.m. — Motor vehicle crash in the 500 block of U.S. Highway 30 East. A 2006 Ford Mustang driven by Edward Goff, 18, of Carroll, pulled into the Casey’s East parking lot and drove over the curb striking the front of the building causing functional damage to the vehicle and damage to the interior and exterior of the building. A search of the vehicle located marijuana in the vehicle. Goff was arrested for possession of marijuana and an operating while intoxicated charges is pending lab results. 

9:37 a.m. — Report of harassment in the 500 block of East 18th Street. 

10:15 a.m. — Funeral escort from Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home to Holy Spirit Church. 

11:25 a.m. — Funeral escort from Holy Spirit Church to city limits.

11:41 a.m. — Report of a theft in the 1000 block of Simon Avenue. 

11:49 a.m. — Report of a motor vehicle crash at U.S. Highway 30 and Boylan Avenue. Iowa State Patrol covered the report. 

1:06 p.m. — Burning complaint at Fifth and East streets. 

5:23 p.m. — Report of a disturbance in the 800 block of West 21st Street. 

6:19 p.m. — Report of a suspicious person in the 2000 block of Kittyhawk Avenue. 

7:24 p.m. — Welfare check in the 200 block of East Todd Terrace. 

8:56 p.m. — Retrieved found property in the 1500 block of Plaza Drive. 

11:55 p.m. — Noise complaint in the 500 block of East 18th Street.
