Carroll Police call log Dec. 2, 2019

5:32 a.m. — Noise complaint in the 800 block of West Eighth Street. 

8:05 a.m. — Motor vehicle accident at First and East streets. A 2012 Ford Focus driven by a 14-year-old Carroll girl was westbound on First Street. A 2014 Toyota Avalon driven by John Grossman, 63, of Carroll, stopped at the stop sign on East Street facing south. The girl was unable to see the Gehling vehicle due to the sun and entered the intersection striking the Gehling vehicle causing functional damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. The girl was cited for failure to maintain control. 

9:27 a.m. — Welfare check in the 800 block of West Eighth Street. 

10:04 a.m. — Animal complaint in the 1200 block of North Main Street. 

11:50 a.m. — Report of harassment in the 900 block of North Grant Road. 

1:58 p.m. — Commercial fire alarm in the 1200 block of East 18th Street. False alarm. 

2:16 p.m. — Report of theft in the 100 block of Peeble Lane. 

2:50 p.m. — Report of harassment in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 30 West. 

3:27 p.m. — Report of a suspicious person in the 1500 block of Birch Street. 

3:53 p.m. — Report of theft in the 800 block of Plaza Drive. 

4:23 p.m. — Assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 30 East.

7:32 p.m. — Assisted with a mental health call in the 800 block of West Eighth Street. 

9:08 p.m. — Assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of Bass Street. 

11:21 p.m. — Report of a suspicious person in the 900 block of North Clark Street.
