Carroll Police call log July 21, 2020

12:43 a.m. — Welfare check in the 600 block North Main Street. 

9:03 a.m. — Motor vehicle crash at U.S. Highway 71 and Heires Avenue. A 2005 Mercury Mariner driven by Bethany Goodwin, 19, of Carroll, was northbound on U.S. Highway 71 and stopped for traffic to turn left onto Heires Avenue. A 2010 Lincoln MKX driven by a 16-year-old Carroll boy was also northbound and did not see the Goodwin vehicle stopped for traffic, rear ending the vehicle. No injuries were reported and the boy’s vehicle was disabled. The boy was cited for failure to maintain control. 

9:51 a.m. — Assisted with a motor vehicle accident at U.S. Highway 30 and Kittyhawk Avenue. 

10:30 a.m. — Funeral escort from Holy Spirit Church to the city limits. 

10:38 a.m. — Motor vehicle crash at U.S. Highway 30 and Main St. A 2009 Dodge Journey driven by Emily Tigges, 32, of Carroll, was northbound on Main Street. A 1995 Suzuki Sidekick driven by Jacob Webster, 22, of Poughkeepsie, New York, was southbound and turning east onto Highway 30. Webster did not yield to the Tigges vehicle and was struck on the passenger side causing functional damage to both vehicles. Webster was charged with failure to yield right of way on left turn. 

11:11 a.m. — Report of a theft in the 400 block of East Third Street. 

11:58 a.m. — Nuisance complaint in the 500 block of West Seventh Street. 

7:52 p.m. — A traffic stop of a 2006 Jeep Liberty at Second and Clark streets led to the arrest of Cassandra Davis, 22, of Carroll, for driving with a suspended license. 

10:55 p.m. — Driving complaint in the 100 block of South Clark Street.
