Carroll County has one more confirmed coronavirus case — which takes its total to eight — and Crawford County recorded its second death associated with the virus, according to Iowa Department of Public Health data.
The age of the person who died is being withheld by state officials due to privacy concerns. That information was previously provided on a county-by-county basis, but now it is only available as part of the overall deaths statewide, which is 421.
About 88 percent of people who die after being infected are older than 60 years.
Crawford now has 440 total cases.
Gov. Kim Reynolds said today that everyone is now eligible to get tested for the virus, regardless of their occupation and whether they have symptoms of a respiratory illness.
