STATIC EXHIBITS

Twenty-four static exhibits from Carroll County were entered into the virtual “Show Iowa” State Fair static show in August. Exhibits were uploaded online by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach staff and were judged over the last two weeks.

LIVESTOCK SHOW

Ten local 4-H members participated in the altered version of Iowa State Fair’s Livestock show. Shows took place over three recent weekends in Des Moines and were spread out based on animal species.

Following is how each exhibit placed:

Andy Booth, Manning Win or Grin

Exhibited in Meat Goats, Breeding Sheep, and Market Sheep. Andy received four purple ribbons and one blue, placing second and third in his class for entries in Breeding Sheep.

Brooke Booth, Manning Win or Grin

Exhibited in Breeding Sheep and Market Sheep. Brooke received three purple ribbons and three blue ribbons, placing third in her class for her entry in the Market Sheep class.

Ben Bowman, Richland Hot Shots

Exhibited in Market Sheep. Ben received a blue ribbon.

Brenna Bowman, Richland Hot Shots

Exhibited in Market Sheep. Brenna received two blue ribbons.

Brock Bowman, Richland Hot Shots

Exhibited in Market Sheep. Brock received two blue ribbons.

Kamryn Lesle, Manning Win or Grin

Exhibited in Breeding Sheep and Market Sheep. Kamryn received two purple ribbons and one blue ribbon, placing second in her class for her entry in the Breeding Sheep class.

Exhibited in Breeding Sheep and Market Sheep. Cael received three purple ribbons and two blue ribbons.

Emma Nelson, Halbur Community

Exhibited in Breeding Sheep and Market Sheep. Emma received two purple ribbons and two blue ribbons, placing second in her class for her entry in the Breeding Sheep class.
