A 49-year-old Carroll man stole electronics and a bank debit card in the past two months from a house where he was hired to do unspecified construction work, according to court records.
Matthew Wayne Dierenfeld is charged with theft and unauthorized use of a credit card, both of which are misdemeanors that are punishable by up to two years in prison.
Dierenfeld is accused of stealing an Apple iPod, iPad and Watch, a video game controller and earbuds for listening to music from a house in the 700 block of North Court Street.
He also is accused of using the bank card to buy a pack of cigarettes at a Carroll convenience store.
A police search of Dierenfeld’s residence found some of the stolen property, court records show.
