HONORED AT BEEF BANQUET: Directors were elected and awards presented Friday evening at the annual meeting and banquet of the Carroll County Beef Producers Assn. Shown following the meeting are the new directors, top award winners and the county beef queens. From left: front row, Bob Opperman, who showed the champion heifer at the Four-County Fair; Linda Rohe, 1972 beef queen; Laurie Sibenaller, 1973 beef queen; and Jim Venner, who showed the grand champion steer at the fair; back row, Wilbur (Jim) Burdine, Gary Rupiper, Adrian Halbur and Arden Hinners, new directors; Roland Lickteig and Don Hinners, winners of awards for outstanding contributions to the beef industry. Dennis Pietig, another new director was absent when the picture was taken.
