Most of county's new virus cases are Carroll residents

More than half of Carroll County's new confirmed coronavirus cases in the past month involved residents of the city of Carroll zip code, according to county health data.

There have been 379 new cases among residents with identified zip codes since Sept. 23 — when local health officials first released the information — and of those new cases, 207 people, or about 55 percent, were residents of the 51401 zip code.

County health officials have given specific zip code identifiers to 998 of the county's 1,044 total cases as of this morning. Here's the breakdown by city zip code:

Carroll: 588

Coon Rapids: 112

Manning: 90

Glidden: 53

Breda: 51

Arcadia: 42

Templeton: 39

Dedham: 23

Other zip codes in the county have between one and five confirmed cases.
