A dancing horse show from Escaramuza Las Zacatecanas sponsored by Las Margaritas restaurant will perform at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in Glidden City Park as part of Glidden FFA Fun Day.

This year’s Glidden FFA Fun Day will feature spectator attractions — dancing horses and acrobatic and juggling shows — rather than the games and inflatables that have been the main activities in the past.

The carnival, greased-pig chase, bean-bag tournament and all-school reunion also have been called off.

The change is in response to the coronavirus pandemic with hopes of keeping everyone safe. The celebration raises funds for the FFA Alumni organization to support the Glidden-Ralston High School FFA Chapter. The alumni group awards scholarships, helps with classroom needs, and helps cover travel, contest and other expenses.
