The Raccoon River Conference Honor Choir Festival was held at the Boone High School on Thursday, October 27. Fifteen students from Carroll High participated in the festival during the school day with a concert that evening at 6:30 at the Boone High School Auditorium. The students were led by conductor Dr. Ryan Person, Director of Choral Activities at Morningside College. Dr. Person brought the Morningside Choir to perform for the audience in the concert before the high school honor choir students took the stage. There were several schools involved in the festival with approximately 150 students singing together. They performed Red, Red Rose, Tuba, Prepare and The Promised Land for a packed auditorium. They were taught the music ahead of time by their choir director, Tami Meiners.
