BIKES FOR CHRISTMAS: A truckload of bicycles, 11 to be exact, should brighten some faces around Carroll come Christmas Day. The bikes, which were lost, discarded or abandoned and not claimed during the time they were at the police station, have been given to the Carroll Jaycees with the approval of the mayor's office. The bikes will be repaired by Jaycees, under the direction of Gary Radach, left, and Zenas Becker, center, to be included as gifts for families receiving the Jaycees' annual Christmas baskets. Patrolman Bill Heller, right, helped Jaycees load the bicycles Monday afternoon.
