CROUSE EMPLOYEE HONORED IN NATIONAL COMPETITION: Receiving an award of a plaque honoring him for outstanding driver of the month of August is Fred J. Golwitzer of Carroll. Fred competed with 5,000 other drivers of Allied Van Lines agencies all over the United States and Canada for the owner, and was chosen for the award because of his driving safety record, his letters of recommendation from people whose furniture he had handled in the coast-to-coast moving operations, his record of operating on schedule and for prevention of claims. Donald J. Nelson of Carroll is shown awarding the plaque. He is general manager of the Crouse moving van operation and spent 17 years driving vans for the Allied Lines before moving to Carroll.
