Lisa Wagner, a longtime employee of the Carroll County Treasurer's office, is expected to be appointed to replace retiring Treasurer Jean Seidl in July. She has held several different jobs in the office in the past 27 years and is currently the tax and financials deputy and administrative assistant.

Wagner, 51, of Carroll, has held several different positions in the office for the past 27 years and most recently was the tax and financials deputy and administrative assistant.

Seidl told the supervisors in January that she would resign because personal matters would require her to be absent extensively from the office and recommended that Wagner succeed her.

“I had every intention of completing this term and retiring at age 65, but because I didn’t know what the future would hold, I am going to be forced out of the office quite frequently over a period of time, so it’s in the best interest of my staff, my office and the county that I tender my resignation today," Seidl said at the time.

Wagner has said she intends to seek election in November to remain treasurer.
