Walgreens partners with New Hope to vaccinate 330 clients, staff

New Hope inoculated 330 clients and health and service providers Wednesday during its first of three on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

The clinics are being offered in partnership with Walgreens.

As those associated with a healthcare facility providing services to individuals with disabilities and complex medical conditions, New Hope staff and volunteers, as well as those receiving services from the organization, all were eligible to receive the vaccine.

“This was a great opportunity for New Hope to take an active role in crushing COVID-19 and the spread of COVID here in Carroll County,” said Steve Kopecky, New Hope chief executive officer.

Additional vaccination clinics have been set for New Hope in February and March, giving everyone an opportunity to get both doses needed on site. The Carroll Walgreens facility oversaw providing and administering the Pfizer vaccination.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to the Walgreens team and feel so fortunate to be able to offer the vaccine to the individuals we support and our staff and volunteers right here at New Hope,” Kopecky said. “I know we’re all looking forward to the better days ahead.”
