Diane Agnes Eischeid, daughter of Lawrence and Lucille (Steffes) Irlmeier, was born June 2, 1942, at her home near Templeton, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm south of Templeton and attended Sacred Heart School into her early high school years. Diane then worked in her home and at Kaus Grocery Store in Templeton.
On Oct. 28, 1961, Diane married Roger Eischeid at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. The couple farmed near Westside for 12 years and then moved to the family farm near Manning in 1973. Besides farming, Diane held various part-time jobs in the area. In 2004, they moved to Templeton after the death of Diane’s mother, Lucille Galloway, whose house they purchased.
Diane was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and Catholic Daughters, in both Manning and Templeton. She was a great cook and liked to crochet, quilt, sew, embroider and work with the livestock on the farm. Diane cherished the time spent with her family.
