Randy James Berg was born on Oct. 2, 1959, in Carroll, Iowa, a son of Donald C. and Ardella M. (Singsank) Berg. He spent his entire lifetime in the Westside community and attended St. John School in Arcadia, later graduating from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1978. Randy was a next-generation farmer and acquired the Berg Family Farm north of Westside where he loved the land and continued to farm until his leukemia diagnosis in early 2022.
Whether it was his pickups, farm equipment or the land he farmed, Randy was meticulous with his care. He loved spending time with his entire family and will always be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, and his giving, caring personality. Randy never knew a stranger and was loved by so many.
