Wilma Kruthoff, 98, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at Black Hawk Care Center in Lake View.
Funeral was held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. The Rev. Donald E. Petersen III officiated with committal services following in the Wall Lake Cemetery at Wall Lake, Iowa.

Wilma Lucille Kruthoff, daughter of Carl and Alvena (Peters) Buse, was born on July 25, 1921, in Sac County, Iowa. She was reborn through the waters of Holy Baptism as an infant on Oct. 9, 1921, in St. Peter Church of rural Sac County.
Wilma attended rural school in Coon Valley Township and graduated from Auburn High School with the Class of 1938. On Aug. 4, 1940, she married Harold L. Kruthoff. The couple were blessed with four children. On March 16, 1941, Wilma was confirmed in her faith by the Rev. F.H. Muenchow.
The couple farmed near Yetter, Iowa, for five years and in 1946 moved to a farm 1 mile north of Ulmer, Iowa, where they lived for 18 years. In 1964, they moved to their farm near Schaller, Iowa, and resided there for 23 years before retiring to Lake View in 1987.
Wilma was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Lake View. She taught Sunday school and was a member of Ladies Aid and Lutheran Kitchen Band.
Survivors include sons, Alan (Barbara) Kruthoff of Lake View and Larry (Linda) Kruthoff of Lake City, Iowa; daughters, Twila (Robert) Cleveland of Lake View and Betty (James) Anderson of Earlham, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kruthoff, on May 28, 1999; parents, Carl and Alvena Buse and Tony Buse, who adopted her in 1975; daughter-in-law Sue Kruthoff; granddaughter Toni Shea; and sisters, Eleanor (Harold) Smidt and Esther (Lennis) Garrels.
