At the Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, the board met with County Engineer Zac Anderson and approved a utility permit he recommended. It involved the boring of an electrical line by Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative between Sections 21 and 22 of Maple River Township for Jim Higgins.
Next, payables were approved in the amount of $181,666.28. A plat was approved for land sold by Ron Burdine in Section 10 of Glidden Township.
Supervisor Dean Schettler reviewed a resolution that supported the division or the North Raccoon Watershed into two Watershed Management Authorities. The resolution was approved.
The supervisors also approved the issuance of a credit card for use by the Department of Human Services.
Auditor Kourtney Irlbeck reviewed two interfund transfers. The board transferred money from the Rural Services and the General Basic funds to Secondary Roads in the respective amounts of $1,061,586 and $122,623.
Carroll Area Development Corporation Executive Director Shannon Landauer gave an update from the CADC on economic recovery from the coronavirus impact. The update was very interesting and involved many changes due to the epidemic.
At 10:30, a closed session was held with an employee, and after the closed session the supervisors took no formal action and adjourned the meeting.
