At the Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, County Engineer Zac Andersen reported on PCC patching on Old 73 south of Coon Rapids, and this road reopened Tuesday. N33/Dedham Willey Road work is continuing with the base widening portion and was to be completed Tuesday, and then the intermediate lift will begin on the entire surface. Completion on that entire project is expected by late August. Pavement markings countywide will be painted this week. HMA patching will be done in Halbur, Arcadia and Templeton.
Other agenda items covered were quarterly reports from GIS and Sheriff’s departments. Both were approved. Sherriff Ken Pingrey reported new the K-9 unit has arrived and equipment is being transferred from the existing vehicle to the new vehicle, with delivery expected soon. A 2021 Ford Explorer was ordered from New Way Ford in Coon Rapids with the existing 2011 being traded in on delivery.
A jail change order for $42,159 was approved.
The board approved New Opportunities’ fiscal year 2021 substance report.
