As of press time, there is no one faster in the 200-meter dash than Glidden-Ralston senior Brigham Daniel.
On Monday afternoon at the Chelsey Henkenius Early Bird track meet held in Lake City, the Glidden-Ralston senior ran the fastest time of the meet, clocked at 22.14 in the 200-meter dash.
Currently, that is the fastest 200-meter-dash time recorded in the state among all classes. The second-fastest time in the state belongs to Dowling Catholic’s Mikey McClain, who has a time of 22.49.
Daniel also won the 400-meter run with a time of 53.5 in the meet.
Another win was delivered for the Wildcats by the sprint medley team of Karter Kennebeck, Carter Soyer, Carter Scott and Daniel. The team ran a time of 1:40.84.
Carter Soyer of the Wildcats finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:07.74.
The Wildcat 4x100 team of Karter Kennebeck, Tyler Brant, Carter Scott and Daniel finished third with a time of 47.9.
On the girls side, the Wildcats were led by Vanessa Koehler in both the 100- and 200-meter dash events.
Koehler finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.86. She also was second in the 200-meter event with a time of 27.59.
The 4x200 team of Savannah Bennett, Brileigh Bock, Morgan Tuel and Tiela Janssen finished fifth with a time of 2:15.6.
