Kuemper Catholic’s Jacob Hugeback (front) secures a ball while knocking defensive back Grant Sturm of Atlantic to the ground during a play in a Sept. 27 game against Atlantic.

It’s been a tough four weeks for the Knights, but everything could change with Friday’s game.

Their opponent is Greene County, a Greene County team that is undefeated and ranked fourth in class 2A. On top of that the Rams will enter the game with a little bit of revenge.

Greene County only had one loss in district play last season, and that came against Kuemper.

The Rams will being in a high-powered offense. In their first five games the Rams have averaged 44 points per game. Their defense has allowed 11 points per game.

The Rams are led by running back Colby Kafer who has 805 yards on the ground with nine touchdowns. The power back is averaging 9.1 yards per carry.

The defense for the Rams has been high scoring too. Xavier Hayes has two interception returns for a touchdown. Nick Breon has added another and Joe Patterson has returned a fumble for a touchdown.

Carter Morton has four kicks returned for scores this year (three punts and a kick off).
