Raiders dominate Rams in regular season finale

East Sac County didn’t waste any opportunity they had in a dominating victory on Friday night.

Not only did the Raiders come out on top in a 65-0 dehorning of the Rams, they limited MVAOCOU to 39 total yards of offense.

Only three East Sac County drives on Friday night didn’t result in a touchdown.

The scoring started early on when Tyler Schmitt connected with Garret Quirk on a 32-yard touchdown pass 40 seconds into the game.

Schmitt would next hit Camden Villhauer with a 26-yard touchdown pass three minutes later for the second East Sac County touchdown.

Three more minutes passed and Villhauer scored again, this time when he ran the ball in from five yards out.

Seeing how much the run game was starting to work Schmitt took the ball in on his feet when he ran into the end zone from 58 yards out.

Jake Paysen was able to cap off the scoring in the first quarter when he ran the ball in from 39 yards out.

It didn’t take long into the second quarter for the scoring frenzy to continue. Just under two minutes into the two quarter East Sac added two more points off a MVAOCOU safety.

Soon after Caleb Villhauer scored again. This time he ran the ball in from 13 yards out.

The first half ended with Paysen’s second rushing touchdown of the night when he crossed the goal line off a one yard run.

Late in the third quarter the Raiders scored when Ace Thelen was able to score off a 40-yard touchdown run.

Early in the fourth quarter the Raiders were able to score, for the last time in the game, when Chandler Lahr was able to score off a four-yard rush.

Overall the Raiders finished with 386 rushing yards. They held the Rams to -21 yards on the ground.

East Sac was perfect through the air completing all seven passing attempts for 91 yards. In total MVAOCOU had 60 passing yards.

The Raiders had 23 first downs. In total, seven different Raider players scored points.

Cole Babe had a busy, but effective night, kicking nine extra points and making them all.

Both Schmitt and Paysen finished with 111 yards rushing for the Rioaders. Villhauer added 58 yards while Thelen finished with 47.

Quirk added 30 rushing yards, Lahr had 16 yards and Aden Vondrak finished with 10. Bradyn Burns added six rushing yards, Joel Halbur had five. Seth Manthe finished with two yards rushing.

Schmitt completed all four of his passes for 68 yards.

Aden Vondrak had three passing completions for 23 yards.

Quirk led all receivers with two catches for 43 yards and a touchdown. Villhauer had 26 yards receiving.

Helen added 13 yards receiving. Lahr finished with 10 yards receiving. Caleb Villhauer and Cole Babe both had one catch for five yards each.

Alex Hauser and Thelen both had one interception in the game. Thelen returned his interception for 16 yards.

Camden Vielhauer had three tackles, three assists and half a sack. Halter added three tackles.

Will Munger and Caleb Villhauer both had two tackles each.

Weston Droht, Hauser, Brandyn Burns, Schmitt, Themen, Quirk, Brody Boeckman, Paysen, Brock Mandernach and Chandler Quirk were all credited with one tackle each.
