Raiders earn first district win with lopsided triumph over Cherokee

East Sac dominated their game on Friday night in a 56-0 win.

The shutout against Cherokee was their first district win of the season. East Sac limited their opponents to 101 yards of offense while gathering 420 of their own.

East Sac spread the scoring around. Quintin Ludwig led the team with two scores, both of them coming off the ground. The senior also led his team with 114 yards rushing in the game.

One touchdown was scored by Dawson Mack, Jake Paysen, Max Jessen, Jackson Stoltenberg, Ace Thelen and Caleb Villhauer.

Two East Sac quarterbacks, Tyler Schmitt and Aiden Vondrak both threw for a touchdown pass in the dominating victory.

Nick Gerdes led the tackling for the Raiders with 7.5 recorded on the night, including two and a half for a loss.

East Sac led 21-0 at half, before adding 35 points in the second half (21 in the third quarter alone). The Raiders stand at 2-4 overall on the season. They host Underwood on Friday.
