Nearly all of the boxes that needed to be checked were checked. On top of that, the senior star was able to show off some of his loyalty.
Wednesday afternoon Carroll High senior, Colby Vincent, was able to secure his future plans as he signed his national letter of intent to play college basketball with Morningside College in Sioux City.
For Vincent, who is on the cusp of his senior season for the Tigers, the ability to go to Morningside not only secures his future plan, and takes some of the pressure off for the coming season, it will allow him to continue to play basketball with strong competition.
The Tigers are coming off back-to-back Raccoon River Conference championships, and appear to be one of the favorites again this year. In the Great Plains Athletic Conference, in which Morningside plays, the Mustangs are a team that other schools in the conference know they will have to defeat.
“Being able to play good competition every night is something that I’m looking forward to,” Vincent said. “Every night in conference play will be a test.”
