There was no doubt entering Friday night that IKM-Manning was going to be in the playoffs. After Friday night there was no doubt who the top team in their district was.
IKM-Manning dominated a struggling Ridge View team with a 41-8 victory.
The win started in the first quarter when the Wolves were able to score 20 points to help them jump start their way to the victory.
Quarterback Nolan Ramsey was able to connect with Amos Rasmussen from 13-yards out to cap off an 8-play, 45-yard drive and start the scoring for the Wolves.
Later in the first quarter it was Kyler Rasmussen who was able to score when he took a ball from six yards out into the endzone. That capped off a short 2-play, 40-yard drive.
The first quarter ended when Amos Rasmussen was able to score a 48-yard touchdown run. Amos’ second score of the first quarter capped off a 4-play, 85-yard drive for the Wolves.
Compared to the first quarter, the second quarter was quiet.
This time Nolan Ramsey connected with Luke Ramsey with a 20-yard touchdown pass.
At halftime the Wolves led comfortably 26-0.
Ridge View scored off a short touchdown run in the third quarter, but the Wolves would answer with back-to-back third quarter scores.
Amos Rasmussen fought his way to the goal line for the third time in the game when he broke off on a 53-yard touchdown. Later Ramsey hit Parker Behrens on the two point conversion.
The scoring ended when Colten Brandt finished with a 54-yard touchdown run.
Overall the Wolves had 456 total yards. Ridge View was limited to 282 total yards.
The Wolves won their district, and with it earned a playoff spot. They finished the season with a 6-3 record, and on a six-game win streak.
Despite the recent success, the Wolves enter the playoffs as the No. 13 ranked team in class A. Because of that, they earned a playoff date with Britt, West Hancock the No. 1 ranked team in class A.
